Update
So I finally got Nda’s attention yesterday. And I asked just for emphasis “can I talk to you in English?” He made a gesture and muttered some things in Hausa then, called his friend to attend to me,Yahaya.
So I turned to Yahaya, “were you the one that rescued me the other night?” (I couldn’t make out the face, it was dark). He said yes. Good. “I’ll be returning home late today, can you assure me the dog won’t be there waiting for me?” He said yes. Ok, give me your phone number so that I can always call you. Then he did and said his name was Yahaya, even trying to spell the name for me. Interesting…
Well, Yahaya kept to his end of the bargain. I didn’t see the doggie last night. Anyways, I have decided to relocate for a while. Time to experience the night life in another part of the Federal Capital. I don’t understand why that dog would want to have me for dinner. I tell you, it was an horror movie which I wouldn’t want to experience again. I am not Jackie Chan and cannot be flying and running every night. I don’t envy people who keep dogs or cats as pet(even any animal for that matter). I grew up around goats and chickens. Even now,my parent’s little animal farm has almost gone extinct save for the eleven goats or thereabout. The chickens have since gone home to be with the Lord. Although, the cage would soon be filled up again for the season.
I am amused when I see people talk to animals-dogs,cats and goats alike. I am not paranoid so I can’t talk to a goat or dog, hehehe.
So, am starting a new series on my boarding house experience. I should upload tomorrow or before midnight today. You’ll only get to read the series every friday. Watch out
Weekend is here already, time to set sail…..
