The Facebook Comunity
There are people I always call the “movers and shakers” of Facebook. Why? Because not only do they command a huge followership, but their Facebook wall is some sort of political jungle where a lot of mumbo jumbo, name-calling, rigmarolling, political discussions and the sorts take place on a daily basis.
They were once the proponents of change. But it seems they are tired of that change they clamoured for. They were the same set of people who said ‘ even if na NEPA bill buhari get, we still want am”. Now they are crying wolf all over, screaming blue murder upandan.
It reminds me of the story of Jesus in the holy book. The same people who called him messiah when he rode on a donkey into Jerusalem were those who still shouted “crucify him” later.
But when will man learn that his life and destiny does not belong to the government of his country? When will people understand that no matter who they vote into power, the needed change cannot come from him.
Those people who accuse the government are involved in one or two shady deals in their own private lives(esp those MMM people, Lmfao. God is soaking your cane in kerosene).
How do they really intend to do it better if given the chance? What beats me about this group of people is why they can’t simply go on national TV so that the government they accuse can hear them clearly. Why act like a toothless bulldog who can only bark but not bite?
There are also the simpletons. They post simple messages once in a while.
There are likers association. They like every post. You find them everywhere busy liking posts even when its an obituary.
There are also the attention seeking bigots. They try to act intelligent by posting questions and matters of national interest but end up creating dissensions and fights over political parties.
There are the actual intellectuals. These are the people I respect so much. Their words are seasoned with salt, well written, easily understood, information passed, knowledge gained and issues tackled. They address matters of national and human concerns with careful analysis and you can’t but agree with them.
What category then does this writer belong?
I belong to the group that comes to facebook for entertainment by all the aforementioned categories. I open Facebook when boredom and stress of life catches up with me.
