Of sundry issues and mundane things..
Just a lazy thought (meant as humour, talking to myself mostly)……The beauty of life is in appreciating the things we count as insignificant but that brings joy and keeps us going in our everyday life. The joy of good friendship, wonderful people, nice neighbours, the security man who mans his duty post every night and day, the recharge card seller on the road, the people who remember to check on you, those who put smiles on your face etc I could go on.
Life is sweeter and much more interesting when we focus on these little things rather than on mundane issues and dabbling into issues which generate argument and strife. Hmmm! Let the dead bury their dead. Mind your business. The woes and calamities be-deviling Nigeria didn’t just start today, some people have died in the struggle. Yet, no respite for this entity. So, why cry yourself hoarse over nonsensical issues, matters that have been concluded, discussions that won’t put food on my table. Where is Gani Fawehinmi, Bola Ige, Alfred Rewane and the rest of them. They fought for a good Nigeria but are no more.
Let’s stop dancing naked in the market square. Let’s put our money where our mouth is(or vice versa). Life is better and more soothing when you focus on mundane issues like Nda’s dog, Nda the security man and Mr Gimba etc rather than tactical issues.
At this point, let me take a break to say I shall continue to applaud and support remotely those who choose to be at the fore-front, raving mad over bad government policies, right issues and the likes. Well, it doesn’t move Ebele and doesn’t get to his ears. So rave and rant all you want. God will surely reward you in the hereafter. Lol.
