[…] Yetunde Olanike Olasiyan is a reader during the day and a writer at night. She loves ice cream and chocolate cake. She has a certain weakness for corn, when it is roasted, yam when it is fried and plantain chips when it is spicy and crunchy. . She graduated with honours from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo state where she studied Environmental Biology. She had her Masters degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. . She is a ghostwriter. You must have come across some of her writings online but in ghostmode. She writes freelance for Bellanaija. She owns her own blog. She has been featured on platforms such as, and, . “A Gift of Dreams” is her first published work of fiction. She combines all these skills with her daytime 9-4pm job at the fourth apex court in Nigeria. She lives in Abuja, Nigeria. . She is internet shy and doesn’t like to agree that she’s a terrific writer. Some of her best posts on the blog are also on her Facebook wall e.g. “Have you been to Ibadan lately?, The Yam Seller Who wants to Marry my Father and (A Tale of Two Official Boyfriends”). . There will be a book signing event organised in conjunction with the Abuja Book Fair coming up in November at Emerald Park, Area 3, Garki. The Book reading event can only take place in I badan at Practical Theatre Arts Department, University of Ibadan. It will be organised by Sankofa Initiative. . A Gift of Dreams is a two in one story. It also contains a diary aspect in form of memories. That’s why the cover has the picture of a diary. It is the story of two generation of women whose life is almost bounded by the same pattern of negativity. The only thing that connects both women is the diary. . The book is 2000NGN. There is going to be a pick up point in Ibadan but she will handle delivery in Abuja personally. Other states of the federation can buy from Konga with small delivery charge. The link would be made available soon. The book would also be unveiled this month. . Yetunde’s words: “I got so happy when I got this cover page on Friday that I had to pound yam yesterday in order to celebrate. I have the bragging rights to say that I made pounded yam for myself again today. . Everyone should buy the book, most especially my Wesley Gang. I made a shoutout to them in the book. My blog readers Fans and wellwishers Bellanaija audience Every Nigerian All the people that Jesus died for (lol) Everyone who loves me from afar Anyone who has ever been entertained by my blog/Facebook post All orphans like me (lol) . Turns out that the show of love has been really overwhelming since i sent the cover page to friends on WhatsApp. People have booked their copies while a dear friend paid for two copies above the price instantly. Three people said thank you because they thought it was a random WhatsApp image. I am looking at them one kain . I want to make a huge shout out to my precious friend, one of the Wesley gang, who paid since June. He lives in PH. If he’s  reading this, he knows himself. He paid over times two the price. Then, my Bodija friend who is now living among abokis in KD. She also paid around the same time, higher than the price. May heaven smile on all of you.” . […]
