hey! I found my muse
It’s good to be back here. So, I lost my muse for a while ( a while, gini?, a loooong time). I had a bad case of writers block. Until my dear friend from Port Harcourt( a friend like a brother, Tiamiyu of life),called me on phone today and asked about the blog. Then, I was jolted out of my reverie into reality. He brought me out of the hole I had crept in. I thank God for placing good friends in my life. I have them in droves, home and abroad; and when we talk, we talk hard. When I gist with the girls(most of them are mamas),we let our hair down and really laugh across different continent.
So where do I start this muse from? How do I explain my seeming absence? What have I been up to, all this while. Do I start to talk about the discouragement that initially set in when I changed my blogging device? Which created a lull in my writing career? I had serious problems coming to terms with the BlackBerry 10 android features( touchscreen palaver), I didn’t know how to copy and paste on it, I didn’t understand how to even pick calls.(yes, I am from the bush). I missed a lot of calls because I was busy touching and not dragging to the left to answer my call. Whew! Then I began to understood why my friend, Tope Kolapo on her visit to my abode, told me she was so much in love with her lappie and couldn’t wrap her head round the tablet that was sent to her( imagine, she threw it under the bed, lol). It’s time to go back to a laptop too as I could not fully maximize the tablet I had then (typing on it was a nightmare).
Do I talk about my thirteen days visit to the fountain of knowlege in ekiti state? Where I ate walnut to a fault at ijero-ekiti, strolled on the street of Aramoko, lost my way and found myself at iroko, ikole, ijero, ido ekiti etc. That town is so big. Why do they say it’s the fountain of knowlege when all the schools I saw were old and rusty. And yes, I saw the popular Christ School in Ado Ekiti and the university.
I wouldn’t want to bore you with the details of how I suddenly got my muse back. But it had to do with eating a large slice of chicken sharwama pizza and downing it with a small bottle of maltina. Yes, call this a random muse, because i’ll be back better and with more interesting stories. Stay on this blogosphere.
